This week is one of two weeks during the season where the Big 3 only plays only on a Saturday. In this week’s trip out to Utah included:
- Two former Utah Jazz players playing in a familiar arena.
- 3 Teams fighting for playoff positioning
- The Ball Hogs trying to get their first victory of the season

3’s Company 51 vs Killer 3’s 41
In a game that 3’s Company needed to keep pace in the chance for the Big 3 playoffs, Andre Emmitt came through for his team. The former Texas Tech standout had a game high 24 points and 14 rebounds as he lead his team back to .500 in the standings.
Down by as many as 14 points, Emmitt led his to their biggest win of the season. Donte Greene lead the Killer 3’s with 14 points. They have lost 2 of their last 3 games.
Triplets 51 Ball Hogs 34
Joe Johnson continued to expand his lead in the MVP race by scoring 21 points including his 3rd 4-pointer this season as he lead his team to their 5th of the season. The win puts them a half-game in front of Power, who had the week off. Al Jefferson provided 12 points and 7 rebounds in front the fans the he played for at the start of his NBA career.
The Ball Hogs are still the only winless team in the Big 3 this year and were lead by Will McDonald who had 14 points and 8 rebounds.
Bivouac 50 Aliens 47
Without Will Bynum, Bivouac needed everyone else on the team to step up in their quest to make it back to .500 in the standings. Led by Josh Smith’s season high 18 points and 14 rebounds, Bivouac got a huge victory to put themselves right in the mix in the Big 3 playoff chase.
Anthony Morrow had 19 points and Smith’s game-winning basket gave his team the victory. Brandon Rush lead the Aliens with 19 points.
