The Big 3’s season has reached it’s midway point this week and the teams are scrambling for playoff positioning. So with this week’s Sunday games in Oklahoma City, the three match-ups included:
- Two match-ups of teams trying to establish wins to keep themselves in the playoff race
- The Killer 3’s attempting to not give the Ball Hogs their 1st victory of the season
Aliens 51 (2-3) Ghost Ballers 35 (2-3)
Shannon Brown’s best effort of the season allowed his Aliens team to keep themselves in the playoff race. Brown’s double-double (19 points and 10 rebounds) propelled his team to a 16 point victory in Sunday’s first game of the day.
Andre Owens added 14 points and six rebounds as the Aliens have now tied the Ghost Ballers in the standings at 2-3. Alex Scales had 12 points to lead the Ghost Ballers.
Trilogy 50 (3-2) Enemies 38 (3-2)
Trilogy’s David Hawkins and James White wasn’t going to let a slow start keep their team from getting over .500 in the standings. Both scored 18 points a piece as they lead their team to a big victory over the Enemies. Hawkins added 7 rebounds and a game high 5 assists and White had 9 rebounds to pace Trilogy.
Trilogy knocked down six 3-point shots as a team and they have won three straight games. Craig Smith (the league’s third leading scorer) led the Enemies with 18 points.
Killer 3’s 50 (4-1) Ball Hogs 35 (0-5)
After losing for the first time last weekend, the Killer 3’s were not going to start a losing streak against the league’s only winless team. Franklin Sessions season-high 17 points allowed his team to stay tied at the top of the standings.
The Killer 3’s used balance in their victory. Three players (Sessions, Stephen Jackson and Eddy Curry) scored in double-figures in points. Will McDonald had 19 points and 8 rebounds, but he couldn’t lead his team to their first win of the season.
