The NBA announced on Thursday morning that the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks will play their first ever regular season game in Paris in 2020. On January 24, 2020 both teams will play at the AccorHotels Arena.
Charlotte on it’s current roster has two French born players in Tony Parker and Nicolas Batum and Milwaukee has the potential MVP and international superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo heading it’s current roster.
Even though the league has played pre-season games in Paris before this will be a landmark game for the league and the country.

From the successful organization of the 2016 football Euros to the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, we have successfully put Paris at the forefront of the world’s sporting capitals. I am very happy that in 2020 we can offer such an event to all Parisians, and French lovers of basketball.”

The Hornets have previously played a pre-season game in Paris in 1994 and it’s current owner Michael Jordan led the Chicago Bulls to the McDonalds Championship in Paris in 1997.This will be Milwaukee’s first time playing in Paris and they have participated in a regular season game in London in 2015.
